“ The happy hour is so worth it! You can try lots of different foods and eat so many oysters. Definitely worth it if you split with friends. The atmosphere is really great inside. We had to wait a while even though a reservation was made so be prepared for that. The outdoor seating is beautiful, but be aware that the area does have heavy smells. ”
“ Loved! Oysters are fresh and delicious, with specials! Sat at the bar and didn’t want to leave, even though we just stopped in for drinks and appetizers. It was a wonderful respite from the crowd. Our entire experience was lovely - Alex, Hannah & Cole really took perfect care of us! I’d gladly visit again, highly recommend. ”
“ I enjoyed everything I ordered. Came here on a Wednesday at 5:15 PM. I was able to walk right in. The food is fresh and delicious. It is worth every penny. I am very satisfied. strongly recommend. ”
“ Great first dining experience! Made a rez the day before to accommodate four adults & two toddlers. Arrived 10 mins prior to reservation time and the table was ready with the high chairs set and crayons color paper! I also love that I was able to make a rez for happy hour (I rarely or never really see that possible and on a weekend!) - loved the mini tini drink (got the rose aperol spritz), oysters was delicious, so was the hefty hamburger, shrimp sliders and lobster roll. I appreciated our waiter who was patience, came by to check our table often & that Half Shelf accommodates kids. Would love to come back again very soon! ”
“ Absolutely fantastic seafood restaurant! We had an absolutely amazing experience here. The service was very good and our server, Serg, was very attentive and helpful. Every single thing we ate was phenomenal! The menu is limited but so well thought out. Starting off the crispy fried green tomatoes were loaded with dungeness crab and a beautiful remoulade (not pictured). We also had the succulent roasted oysters with the rich nduja butter. Our salmon was cooked perfectly and the crab roll was so fresh and buttery. The light coconut cream pie was the perfect ending. ”
“ Was here for the happy hour with a very sweet deal of 2/oyster and they are awesome! Also ordered baked oyster (4) and crab roll (15); all very good, think happy-hour crab roll probably has way less crab than the dinner-order one. Blackberry sour (10), yum! ”
“ Fantastic local gem! We visited Half Shell on the recommendation of a local—and they were absolutely right. The food was incredible! The four of us shared the Pearl from the Pacific Northwest platter, along with some perfectly crisp fries and delicious fried green tomatoes. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and felt like a special treat. We probably could have eaten more, but we didn’t want to be too full to walk back to our hotel! If I’m ever back in Seattle, this spot is definitely on my list. Highly recommend! ”
“ Had a wonderful dinner at Half Shell Seafood House tonight. The seafood platter was amazing—plenty for two, but a real treat for one if you're feeling indulgent. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. I came in without a reservation on a Friday night, and the host still managed to seat me without a wait. I’ll definitely be back for more oysters during happy hour. ”
